Even as life in Mumbai gets more and more closeted and hectic, awareness about health is becoming widespread. The realization that efficiency and performance is directly dependent on good health is beginning to be felt by all. Good health presumes a healthy, regular diet, which is not always possible because of constraints of time.

Health Total a corporate founded in 1997 by noted nutritionist Anjali Mukerjee and Saurabh Mukerjee, provides health programs that take care of a person's nutrition needs without infringing on his or her valuable time.

Ms. Anjali Mukerjee is a qualified nutritionist who has been associated with over 40,000 clients. In her career span of 15 years she has been the nutritional advisor to the Femina Miss India contestants for the last four years. The health programs of Miss World Priyanka Chopra and Miss Universe Lara Dutta were designed and sponsored by Health Total.

Health Total has developed systems for weight loss and health based programs that are specially designed with reference to Indian diets and food habits. In its endeavor to reach out to as many people who are desirous of taking on a healthy lifestyle has also made its products available by mail wherein people who are unable to meet face-to-face can also benefit.

As a result of our fast paced lifestyle, junk food has gradually crept into our daily diet, often without our noticing it. When the busy executive packs a power lunch or a meeting over dinner, nutrition almost invariably takes a back seat. Casual foods ostensibly satisfy our hunger but they do not provide the required nutrients essential to nourish our systems. Sedentary lifestyle in combination with fats, sugar and salt laden junk food works as the perfect recipe to disrupt the delicate balance and invite chronic diseases.

Executives in metros are more prone to gaining weight due to their packed schedules leaving them little time to exercise or eating right. Lack of time to visit a qualified nutritionist to incorporate healthy and nutritious meals in their daily diet and streamline their lifestyle is a common complaint amongst high flying executives. Health Total has launched a new corporate health program called "Bottomline" - the Executive Healthcare Plan. Under this program busy executives who want access to the means to good health but are constricted by lack of time will be provided with preventive and knowledge based healthcare advice at the company's premises.

At its health centres Health Total implements several programs that redirects one's faulty diet and lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle without any side effects. The target is simply not weight loss, but an overhaul of the lifestyle which eventually makes the person feel fitter, healthier and stronger.

In coming years Health Total plans to increase the number of products and package sizes, increase its distribution network in 35-40 cities and retailers base to up to 8000. It has also plans to expand its manufacturing facility.
