What is Thyroid?

Thyroid is a small gland at the base of the neck that produces thyroid hormones. These hormones control all the activities in your body. It regulates the protein synthesis, energy rate and your body’s response to other hormones. There are generally two types of thyroid:

  1. Hypothyroidism
  2. Hyperthyroidism
