Average pH values The average pH values of our urine and saliva are 6.8 to 7.4. How to conduct saliva test Purchase a pH paper at any drugstore and test your saliva by spitting in to a bowl. Dip the pH strip in it and check the colouring after a minute. How to interpret the reading A reading of 4.5 to 6.0 indicates acidosis and is likely to promote disease conditions in the body.
