  1. Steam the matki sprouts or boil them.
  2. Heat oil in a vessel then add a pinch of asafoetida to it. Add green chilli paste cook it for 15; add onions to it.
  3. Sauté until it turns soft and add tomatoes to it and cook for 5 minutes. Then add red chilli powder and turmeric powder to it.
  4. Now add matki sprouts to it and add 1 cup water to it. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Then add garam masala and salt to it and let it cook for 5 minutes. Add tamarind pulp and some coriander to garnish. Serve it hot.
