Easy-to-digest Moong Dal Khichadi

Recipe Notes


1/2 cup Moong Dal
1/4 cup Broken Wheat (Daliya)
1 cup Mixed veggies chopped
Salt to taste

1/4 tsp Haldi Powder
1/4 tsp Hing
1/4 tsp Jeera+Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Oil
1/2 tsp Ginger (finely chopped)
Water (as required)



1.Soak broken wheat and moong dal for half an hour.
2.In a pan, heat the oil put mustard seeds and jeera.
3.Put chopped ginger, turmeric powder and hing and saute. Put chopped vegetables and moong dal and saute.
5.Add required water and cook well. Boil till the desired consistency is achieved. Serve hot.

You can also make this khichadi without vegetables. In this case, you can add the salt and spices directly in the dal and pressure cook it without sautéing in oil. You can serve this along with other vegetables.
