1 cup Kuleeth/ Horse Gram
1 cup Urad Dal
To prepare the batter
1.Soak kuleeth and urad together. If using rice, soak it separately. Soak time approximately 2 hours.
1.Grind kuleeth and urad to make a smooth paste. Grind rice coarsely to the consistency that is similar to rava idli batter.
2.Mix all the batter together and add salt. (If using rava mix it with kuleeth and urad batter now).
3.The batter can be used immediately, does not need to be fermented.
4.Take the batter in a spoon and spread the batter in circular forms on the tava. Pour little oil around it and flip once it gets cooked on one-side. Cook with little oil on both sides.
