6-simple-tips-for-daily-detox

A mini detox can make a big difference in how you feel in the following weeks. Not only will you lose weight but will also reduce the extra water weight. Doing a quick cleanse will also rejuvenate your energy levels, improve your concentration and reduce our skin concerns.

The thought behind this cleanse diet is to give your body a much-needed break, freeing up energy so that your cells, tissues, and organs can work efficiently once again. We will not suggest an intense cleanse straight away. Instead, start preparing your body a few days before the actual cleanse.

In order to get good results from your cleanse diet start something called a ‘Pre-Tox’ before the detox diet. Do this at least a week before.

During the Pre-Tox

This phase requires you to remove a certain type of unhealthy food from your regular diet slowly as well as make certain healthy lifestyle changes. Here we have mentioned a few handy tips in case you get stuck. Are you ready to take charge of your health? You’re just a few days away from a new and healthy you! Prepare for your cleanse with these simple tips

Do not miss your sleep

Sleep Well

Complete sleep is vital for renewal and rejuvenation of your body’s cells. Your goal should be to get around eight to nine hours of sleep to improve and support your immune system and nourish your brain health.

Say bye-bye to sugar

Reduce Empty Calories

At least a week before starting the detox cut down the obvious sources of sugar like fast food, pastries, chocolate, sweets, biscuits and the alcohol. Alcohol tends to dehydrate you and deplete your body of important nutrients.

Reduce or eliminate wheat

Eliminate Wheat from Diet

It is difficult for your body to digest Wheat, this can lead to inflammation and some digestive discomfort, so instead try to replace wheat from bread and cereals with protein-rich foods like low-fat curd and chicken and eggs.

Choose easily digestible meals

Easy meals

Eight days before embarking on the cleanse start including easy to digest foods in your daily meals. A light khichadi with lots of vegetables is a good option. Have lightly cooked vegetables with meals. Eat more lean meats. Before going to the supermarket, make a list of foods you need for your new revised healthy meals.

Stay Hydrated

Drink Water

Drink up lots of water to keep your body hydrated. Make sure to have around 1.5 liters. This will help to clean out toxins, clear your skin and reduce bloating. Aim to cut caffeine too, as it releases the stress hormone cortisol, which increases abdominal fat. Sip on healthy herbal teas.

During the time of Detox

Here are some additional things that you should do while on a detox:

  •   Wake-up your body

On waking up,  jump-start your digestive system by drinking a cup of warm water with a lemon first thing.

  • Brush up your body

Run a dry brush throughout your body just before your bath or shower, starting from the soles of your feet and moving upwards, as this kind of lymphatic massage helps to detoxify, too.

  • Soak in an Epsom salt bath

Have a hot bath or foot soak with Epsom salts in the evening to help your body release toxins.
