Walking with Arthritis

Food helps, nutrition supports, but one thing you should always remember is that nothing works better than exercise during arthritis. Once you consume nutrient-dense foods, exercise will help your body to make optimal use of those nutritional values.
The first step if you want to get back on your toes is to exercise. Moreover, if you are overweight, exercise becomes a must. It helps you a great deal in reducing joint pain, stiffness, and increases flexibility and muscle strength. Take a walk for around 30-40 minutes a day for at least 5 days a week. Avoid vigorous exercising, since it will aggravate your condition and cause further pain. Therefore, walking is one of the best exercise solutions for arthritic patients since it not only helps you in weight reduction but also keeps you fit and mobile.
Arthritis may limit some of your activities. However, it need not overpower your life. As someone said, ‘It’s all in the mind.’ Your mind plays an important role on how you respond to illness. So, think positive and learn to manage your pain instead of feeling depressed and helpless. It sure will help you lessen its impact on your life.
