Homeopathy for Stye

A stye is a small and painful yellowish lump, sort of like a pimple, on the inside or outside of the eyelid. In some cases, the skin overlying the sty can become very thinned and thick. Styes are often filled with pus and begin to disappear on its own in a few days. To relieve the pain, use washcloth with warm cloth and gently place it over the eye for 5 to 10 minutes.
Styes are caused by Staphylococcal bacterial infection that gets into the oil glands in the eyelids. These bacteria can get stuck to the dead skin cells on the edge of the eyelid, resulting in swollen, red and painful bump.
