Tonsillitis-child

Tonsillitis is an infection that is most common in children in the age group of 5 to 12. If your child complains of a sore throat or trouble while swallowing food, it means he/she is suffering from tonsillitis. 
Causes:

  • Respiratory issues such as cold and flu
  • Viral
  • Bacterial infection
  • Infectious mononucleosis caused by the Epstein-Barr virus 

Symptoms:

  • Sore throat
  • Fever
  • Swollen glands in the neck
  • Difficulty in swallowing food
  • Headache
  • Vomiting
