Samosa, chakli, bakarwadi and shankarpali are some of the common snacks which are quite popular during Diwali. Yes, loading up on these calorie-rich foods can sure sabotage your weight loss efforts, but don’t panic just yet! We are going to tell you how to burn calories in under 30 minutes!

Samosa

This yummy and spicy street-food is a well-loved Indian snack. It has a crispy texture and is filled with a spicy and yummy vegetable mixture.

Ingredients: maida, potatoes, peas

Method used: deep-fried

Calories: 1-2 samosas can contain 250 calories. Fat- 17g, carbs – 32 carbs, protein – 4g

How to burn: cycling for 20 minutes can burn 120 calories

Chakli

Chakli is a savory Indian snack which comes in many shapes, sizes and flavors. It is spiral-shaped and has a crunchy and hard texture.

Ingredients: rice flour, Bengal gram, black gram

Calories: 2 pieces of chakli can contain up to 200 calories. Fat- 6g, carbs – 16g, protein – 4g

So pick an activity of your choice and burn away those calories! However, here is a word of advice. Keep a gap of at least 3-4 hours between consuming food and carrying out any kind of strenuous activity. Also, avoid exercising on an empty stomach as this may cause severe stomach cramps or diarrhoea.
